On-demand workspace in Shoreditch, London

Shoreditch is where the edge of the City turns creative. Shoreditch High Street is on the Overground’s Windrush line, with Old Street and Liverpool Street (and its Elizabeth line platforms) each around ten minutes’ walk. Former warehouses, factories and print works now hold coworking spaces, design-led serviced offices and self-contained studios. Most have more character than the Square Mile next door: exposed brick, big windows and open floors. Tech start-ups and scale-ups, creative and digital agencies, fashion brands, media companies and design studios. They’re increasingly joined by corporate innovation teams and City firms that want an office which helps with hiring. The Tea Building, Brick Lane and the Old Truman Brewery, the boutiques of Redchurch Street, Arnold Circus, Hoxton Square and Shoreditch Town Hall. Columbia Road flower market and some of London’s best street art are close by. Brick Lane’s curry houses and the 24-hour Beigel Bake have fed late nights here for decades, with Dishoom on Boundary Street for larger team dinners. Callooh Callay on Rivington Street has served cocktails since 2008, with a second bar hidden behind a wardrobe door. Village Underground hosts live music in a Victorian warehouse topped with old Tube carriages, and Flight Club’s original social darts venue is on Worship Street. Shakespeare worked in Shoreditch before Bankside. The Theatre opened here in 1576, and in 1598 its timbers were taken down and carried across the river to build the Globe.
